We understand that there may be times when you need to withdraw your funds, and/or close your OneVest account.
Partial Withdrawals
You can withdraw partial amounts from your RRSP or TFSA account at any time. Keep in mind that there may be certain tax implications depending on when and how you withdraw. Be sure to consider how this may affect you before proceeding with a withdrawal.
- RRSPs: Learn more about withdrawing from your RRSP here.
- TFSAs: Learn more about withdrawing from your TFSA here.
Full Withdrawals/Closing Accounts
If you wish to close your OneVest account (regardless of the account type), you’ll need to follow a two-step process:
- Withdraw all funds from your account.
- Submit a request to OneVest to formally close your account.
After you request account closure, OneVest will contact you to ensure everything is in order. This includes confirming that you don't have any scheduled deposits set up and helping you determine the best way to transfer your funds.
Important Note: If you wish to withdraw 98% or more of your account balance, OneVest will process it as a full withdrawal. Additionally, closing your OneVest account will not automatically close your OneVest profile. You will need to submit a separate request to close your profile.
